Frequently Asked Questions

Hi! What is your vision for the board? Where is this all headed?

The Human Board grows, that we can continue to help as many people as possible.

There are a lot of different directions that this can go in, and we're open to the possibilities (i.e maybe an actual international nonprofit foundation that has a VC/funding arm to invest in truly human and incredible people and projects that we believe in?) but for right now -

We're all incredibly busy. We are making time for meetings with people who would like our guidance and who we think we can help.

Magic happens in groups of kind, high-vibe, high-level people. We want to live in a world where there is always a group of those kinds of people who you can turn to for advice.

And something really special happens when it's free for everyone involved.

Are The Human Board meetings free?

Yes, the meetings are completely free for everyone involved. We're all doing this in our spare time, sponsored by no one, inspired by you.

How do you evaluate applications for meetings and board positions?

Jenna Mari Matecki, Founder and Chairwoman of the Board, as well as a few board members, personally review each application.

Disclaimer here: know that if you are not selected for a meeting with the board after filling an application out, it is because we aren't sure if we can help you, or that you'll get what you're looking for from us. We are committed to respecting everyone's time including yours, not because you aren't all things amazing and wonderful.

Are board meetings confidential?

Absolutely. However, if you are really, really concerned about confidentiality, perhaps you should come back and apply for a board meeting later once your business / this aspect of your business is public, or revisit whether or not you need a different type of guidance.

How do you keep this good vibes?

Jenna's actively making sure that everyone involved has the right perspective, supportive attitude, humanity, inclusivity, and kindness to have this be nourishing time-well-spent for all.
